The Istvan Moritz ’15 Memorial Scholarship program was created in loving memory of Istvan, a beloved brother who lent his energy to the transformation of our fraternity and never ending quest for knowledge.

The scholarship program was developed by the brotherhood of Phi Sigma Kappa at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in conjunction with the Moritz family, in honor of their son and our beloved fallen brother Istvan. The program was launched in May 2017.
Each year in October, two $1000 scholarships are awarded to student members of the fraternity; one for most improved GPA and another for outstanding achievement in brotherhood, scholarship and character.
The program is managed by the Phi Sigma Kappa Alumni Association of Troy, NY, and is funded by generous contributions from the members of Phi Sigma Kappa and friends and family of Istvan
